Master Data in clouds – hands on workshop, 23 October 2019 in Warsaw

The workshop will take place on October 23, 2019 from 10:00 to 12:00
in Klubokawiarnia Bliżej, Wałbrzyska 3/5, 02-739 Warszawa, Poland

During the our workshop we are going to show you how to manage master data “on premises” and in the cloud. We share our experience in projects and opinions on various solutions in the field of master data management.

Why you should attend?

Data are a key element of almost every process. Progressing automation requires flexible data management not only from the technology side, but also from the business side. The quality of data is key to process efficiency.

We are seeing the increasing availability of solutions using artificial intelligence (AI). One of the important elements of AI is access to data in adequate quality. This is influenced by the implementation of the appropriate information architecture (IA). Data categorizations and cataloging systems are part of it.

In practice: dictionaries, hierarchies or data mappings are often done in a way that does not guarantee the quality of the data. Especially when more and more data goes from and to the cloud. Extended, centralized solutions, starting from Microsoft MDS and ending with Informatica MDM do not always meet the real needs of users. Especially when we need to quickly implement a solution that meets the key requirements in a distributed environment of existing systems.

We are going also to show you how to reduce the costs and risk of low quality data by automating the process of master data management.

The workshop will be conducted using test data provided by popular databases available in the cloud: SQL Server and Snowflake.

Workshop participants will carry out exercises on their own equipment with the assistance of the teacher. The meeting will be conducted in Polish. If participants are interested, it can be repeated in English.
