Our consultants took part in a project involving the migration of historical data from many different single-area systems to a newly implemented ERP-class system. The client was a media concern listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Sanmargar was responsible for the development of the processes for the extraction of data from the systems that were being replaced, its processing, validation, mapping, cleansing, and loading into the target modules. The processes were developed using the ETL and MDM technologies and the Pentaho Data Integration, Metastudio and DataQualityStudio tools. As part of the work on data migration, regular monitoring of the process of manual addition of necessary data attributes by users was also implemented. A migration process correctness check was prepared using the Pentaho Reporting platform.
